The jowl returns!

Conrad and Karl try out Jowling
Amanda, Marieke and Linda jowl

These unforturnate victims have no clue they're now on the internets, though i don't think they really knew what they were doing when they jowled either. Explaining the jowl is always difficult and inevitably ends with me nursing a headache. I don't bother to really correct jowling technique anymore. As long as the picture isn't something you'd want posted online I'll stop taking your picture.

The other night while taking a leak, I thought of Preston in Chili. Specifically he'd written an entire entry on a blog he'd started on a urinal and how perfect it was. I realized the very urinal I was at was about that good and snapped a picture that will certainly be one of my favorites from my time in New Zealand. It actually was a great urinal, with absolutely no splashback.

An almost perfect urinal

Next week I'll be figuring out the last leg of my trip, which should be one of the more exciting parts and will take up the entire month of June. I'll spend about 2 and a half weeks traveling around the South Island, then head to Australia for about two weeks to make my way from Sydney to Brisbane. As I figure that out better, I'll update this again.

I'll end this entry with a cool fountain in the Wellington harbor. It's kind of hard to tell in this picture, but it dances around and stuff.

12!

So apparently Wellington is the 12th best city in the world to live in, this according to some survey I've never heard of that must not take into account weather. In fact, New Zealand's so cool that it got two cities in the top 12 - Auckland beat Wellington with a number 5 rank.

After one year with my camera I still don't really know how to use it. In this shot the camera actually recorded me missing my own picture.

Still not sure what I'm doing here in Welly. I was strung along by a temp agency for about a month with a job that ultimately fell through. During that month off I've pretty much spent everything that I made at my sweet courier job. Luckily today I had a catering job where they let us take home all the leftover food. I'm set for at least a week!
